Had a fantastic time in Ecuador—what a beautiful country. I visited Guayaquil, Quito, Otavalo, Cotacachi, and five islands of the Galápagos. The mainland was interesting in an historic / sightseeing way, but it was the animals on the islands that made the trip so worthwhile. Tortoises, iguanas, frigate birds, blue-footed boobies… so much fun. I’ll post photos to the Gallery section in a few weeks once I’ve had a chance to review and select some images.

But the question is, did you leave a postcard at Post Office Bay? And did you pick up one to deliver back on dry land? I just returned from there myself last month, and I must admit I’m quite happy to be rid of the male counterparts of my trip shouting “I love boobies” every 10 seconds and buying everything in sight with their new slogan.
I also hope you straddled the equator as well (all three of them) as it’s the one time I can truly say I accomplished total world domination.
I’ve heard that tourism is endangering the unique wildlife on the Galapagos islands. Did you see any evidence of this on your trip and to the natives try to encourage tourists to look but not disturb local wildlife? I’m looking forward to your pics they are always awesome! I hope to see you back on tv soon. Stay safe! Jen
