Mystery Explored: The DaVinci Code: Bloodlines
Expedition Dates: November 6 - 25, 2005

The line between fact and fiction is elusive and nowhere more so than in the pages of Dan Brown’s bestseller, The DaVinci Code.  I decided to take on the most controversial of the book’s many claims: that the bloodline of Jesus Christ came to Europe and lived on in a line of French kings. In a world-exclusive, I was given permission to extract DNA from a founding queen of the Merovingian monarchy and to compare it with the living members of a genetic group to which Jesus Christ is thought to have belonged.
