A few updates to the site, for those interested: First, an interview I did with Captain Paul Watson for Plum TV at the Mountainfilm Festival in the spring is now available in the media archives. We’ve also posted more expeditions to the Past Explorations section, including two Lost Episodes from Into the Unknown.
To my Jewish friends, “Shana tova” and “G’Mar chatima tova.” To my Muslim friends, “Kul am wa antum bi khair.” and “Eid Mubarak.” And to everyone else, “Have a great weekend!”
Nice to see the information on the show regarding the Thracians in Bulgaria. Kitov, the controversial Bulgarian archaeologist whom died last year, had made large strides in the field of Bulgarian archaeology. The size and weight of the Thracian death masks are a sight to behold as are the other finds. I try faithfully to visit the displays at the museum in Sofia whenever I visit. I would love to see the end result of this show as there are so few documentaries on this overlooked group of people.
Since you are planning some changes on this webpage, I would like to suggest, if I may, to leave only one (01) forum (Dispatches from JB), and all the other topics open for better viewing and participation.
The topics would be constantly moving places depending on the replies.

P.s.: from a extremely hot Rio de Janeiro! Over 100ş F.
It was educational to see all the country flags and the texts in each idiom. Also colourful. It was quite all right to have to click on the buttom to close it after the first change and now they have been surpressed.
Yes, we’re aware that the welcome page and international flags were removed. That’s only temporary, as there was a scripting issue of some sort that the tech guys are working on. It will be back up soon. Thanks. JB
Is there a way to also implement a text-based post service of 250/300 (+/_) characters to enhance the Message Boards of this webpage?
The History Channel had a very good system. The forums were opened and sequencial depending on the last reply at the a/b/c topic. The “Dispatches from Josh” could remain as a fix post on the bottom of the Message Boards.
The idea of using flags to select the language is well, but let me sugest that the portuguese language appears with portuguese flag, just like sanish appears with the spanis flag and not Venezuela’s or Mexico’s. I love Brasil, but portuguese was born in Portugal.
hmm can’t seem to send a post on the discussion board, lets see if i can write one on here. It keeps telling me that “error, we can’t recieve your post at this time/”
It would be nice if you could keep “Dispatches from JB” daily updated with your “Heading to Florida for 10 days of wreck diving/CCR training with Richie Kohler and other friends” trip (as of April 23, 2010).
Really hope the new version of this website has a posting system similar to Twitter/FB/MySpace, so the whole conversation can take place in one place - HERE - at your official website.
As I mentioned some months ago, your techies should try to implement something similar with 200/300 letters or whatever.
There are great topics already and many more to come!
Please give some thoughts or there might be already on the market a special device that a person could speak into the loudspeaker and Josh´s webpage transform it in a text message under the given topic title.
Just a note to all the Into the Unknown watchers out there.
In Canada, on Discovery Civilizations Channel the episode
“Why Elephants Attack” will be aired on Monday, Sept 13 at 8PM PT
It will also be aired on Tuesday, Sept 14 at 12AM (that’s midnight people)
then again at 5AM and 2PM PT.
ITU is also on the following week, same times & station,
but the episode is scheduled to be “Living With Mummies”.
Enjoy
